PROSE® by BostonSight is a comprehensive medical treatment model to restore visual function to patients with complex corneal disease. BostonSight SCLERAL is our data-driven product delivering doctors and patients unparalleled scleral lens design.

All BostonSight SCLERAL lenses are designed with SmartSight front surface eccentricity (FSE) values. SmartSight provides superior quantitative and qualitative vision and is available in three options. FSE1 is the standard value. In general, when dealing with an irregular cornea, if the FSE1 value is not providing the best visual outcome, we recommend starting off with the FSE2 before trying FSE0. And when dealing with a regular cornea, i.e. DES, we recommend starting with the FSE0 before trying FSE2.

For correction of more challenging aberrations, we suggest SmartSight HOA technology for custom HOA correction. SmartSight HOA works by scanning the patient’s eye while wearing their final BostonSight SCLERAL fit lens.  Your aberrometer determines residual HOAs, and the wavefront data is then exported to BostonSight’s FitConnect® lens design software. Once the order is finalized in FitConnect, the data is automatically transferred to our lathe for manufacturing.  All orders incorporating HOA design will incur a one-time additional fee per lens. For additional pricing information, please reach out to your Account Manager. Please note that a free 30-minute certification training is required to get started with SmartSight HOA. (SmartSight HOA may not be available in all markets)

You can add SmartChannel® technology to your lens design in FitConnect®. SmartChannels vault anatomical obstacles and can be used to promote fluid-ventilation and reduce suction. A maximum of 4 SmartChannels can be added to a lens.

Our lens design, based on scleral anatomy, offers right and left anatomical design with unique scleral shape profiles. One dot identifies the RIGHT lens and two dots identify the LEFT lens.
